Handmade In Gifu, Japan For Over 90 Years, This Japanese Washi Paper Lamp Shade Omits A Warm, Ambient Light That Is Perfect For Table Top Use Or As A Small Floor Lamp. Made With Traditional Washi Paper Production Techniques Using Bamboo Ribbing Over A Steel Armature, This Lamp Turns On And Off With A Corded Switch. The Organic Shape And Simplicity Of The Design Allows This Lamp To Blend In With Many Different Interiors To Provide A Soothing Glow.

Currently, His Designs Are Held In The Permanent Collections At The Metropolitan Museum Of Art, The San Francisco Museum Of Modern Art, As Well As The Conran Foundation And Others. Shigeru Uchida Passed Away In 2016.
